Recycling rate Netherlands increased again

The recycling rate of packaging in the Netherlands increased again in 2018, including plastic packaging. This is good news!

While the percentages themselves do not tell the whole story and may even be somewhat misleading, it does of course show that we are on the right track as a country. We as KIVO believe that it should not only be about quantity, but also quality.

Recycling is not yet synonymous with circular. With our partner KRAS Recycling and our Joint Venture REKS, we aim to eventually recycle high-quality packaging materials back into the same high-quality packaging materials. After all, it would be a shame to turn them straight into a rubbish bag or roadside pole.
