KIVO is increasingly committed to making plastic more sustainable. All new orders look at how the plastic can be made thinner and whether recyclate can be added. Because of all the new developments, we are growing fast. That is why we have also invested heavily in new machines. Four new Hudson Sharp Wicketer machines were purchased for the Zwolle site. These new machines, which replace four old ones, will allow us to produce bread bags faster again.
We also purchased a third flexo printing machine for our factory in Volendam.
We are proud to tell you that we are the first in the Netherlands to have the latest Novoflex II from Windmüller & Hölscher Group. This printing machine is the most modern machine at the moment and is capable of producing 8 colours at a speed of 600 metres per minute. If you want to read a more detailed story about our Flexo printing department, take a look at our page flexo printing.
NOVOFLEX II
The third machine investment we have made concerns two 5-layer coex lines from W&H.
With our 5-layer extruders, we will start producing optimal 3-layer recipes (possibly with regenerate) and no barrier films. In particular, the Kosovo machine will produce shrink films for the beverage industry for the local market. Equipment from REKS will be used for this. Read more about our extrusion on the page extrude.
